De tvåbenta (forts på del 5)
NEJ! Det hördes ett vrål från ovan bakom musen. Han hade svårt att urskilja varifrån det kom. Rösten lät bekant men annorlunda. Det enda han såg var de enbenta varelsernas ludna mörka huvuden som stack upp vid horisonten i det okända. En något dovare och uppfordrande uppmaning kom strax därefter: Försiktigt, vänta! Det fick honom att fokusera på en bekant profil i halvmörkret. Det såg ut som bockens huvud, som långsamt försökte resa sig bakom de enbenta!
Är det verkligen du, bocken, försökte musen få fram. Ja, det skulle man kunna säja, svarade bocken. Fast viktigast av allt just nu är att du inte dricker vattnet där du står. Allt vatten vid den stora tomheten har blivit förstört. Titta vid sidan om dig, i kanten av tomheten, så ser du orsaken. De tvåbenta har hittat till vår lilla värld och ända in i det okända. Titta noga så ser du en som har lämnat ett avtryck efter sig.
Musen ryggade tillbaka inför det skrämmande spåret av något som måste vara en gigantisk varelse. Han titta på bocken med sina små uppspärrade ögon och undrade vad som egentligen hade hänt. Bockens förklaring var nästan lika skrämmande som upptäckten av att det fanns tvåbenta i det okända.
När man träder in i det okända blir man ett med sammanhanget, sa bocken. Jag som redan var för gammal för att ränna runt efter nya mål och lyckan bortom nästa ö, har tagits upp i det okändas stora gemenskap. Min uppgift, bland många, har blivit att varsla andra och dela med mig om vetskapen om de tvåbenta och hur de ser på det okända. Vi känner inte till allt, men de nya helt annorlunda spåren efter dem gör alla mycket oroliga.

NO! A roar was heard from above behind the mouse. He had a hard time figuring out where it came from. The voice sounded familiar but different. The only thing he saw were the hairy dark heads of the one-legged creatures that protruded from the horizon of the unknown. A slightly duller and more encouraging call came shortly afterwards: Careful, wait! It made him focus on a familiar profile in the semi-darkness. It looked like the goat’s head, slowly trying to get up behind the one-legged!
Is it really you, the goat, the mouse tried to get out. Yes, you could say that, replied the goat. But most important of all right now is that you do not drink the water where you stand. All the water at the great emptiness has been destroyed. Look next to you, at the edge of emptiness, and you will see the cause. The two-legged have found their way to our little world and all the way into the unknown. Look closely and you will see one that has left an imprint behind.
The mouse backed away from the frightening trail of what must be a giant creature. He looked at the goat with his small wide-open eyes and wondered what had really happened. The goat’s explanation was almost as frightening as the discovery that there were two-legged in the unknown.
When you enter the unknown, you become one with the context, said the goat. I, who was already too old to run around for new goals and happiness beyond the next island, have been taken up in the great community of the unknown. My task, among many, has been to warn others and share with me the knowledge of the two-legged and how they look upon the unknown. We do not know everything, but the new completely different traces after them make everyone very worried.
