DRIVVED

Havet tar och havet ger. Att samla drivved eller annat nyttigt längs kusten har fascinerat många genom allla tider. Vattnets beslutsamhet att försöka ta hand om det som inte hör hemma där kan ta sig många olika former. Öar skapade av plast och skräp, vissa stora som ett helt land, ser vi inte här. Våra strömmar tvingar istället upp skräpet på land. I rullstensvikarna pressas det mesta långt upp vid hårt väder. Trä nöts sakta ner av vatten och sten, åldras på ett mer värdigt, ja nästan vackert sätt. Mossa har inget att hämta här i denna miljö, men små pricklavar kan hitta en plats med havsutsikt, som andra inte förstår värdet av.

  2. Åldrat träd är verkligen vackert. Drivved ser jag sällan, men i skogarna finns gott om fallna träd och stubbar. Vattnets påverkan saknas då förstås. Väldigt tilltalande bilder.

  5. We have driftwood with tiny lichens on it, too, and if you look closely you can find beautiful, swirling patterns like you have. I’m sorry to leave so many comments all at once but I’ve been too busy to visit regularly.

    1. There can never be too many comments. It is always equally interesting how different people look at pictures, interpret them and associate them to their own little world. Sometimes I think the image becomes subordinate to the text, other times the image says it all. The response is what develops me and makes me dare to take new faltering steps.

      1. I feel the same way – comments are valuable, they keep us going. I feel bad that I do them all at once but I’m glad that’s OK with you.
        Working with text and image is interesting – there can be a balance that favors one sometimes or the other sometimes. In your posts, text and image always seem to complement each other.
