Vilande fiske

Yrkesfiskarna har semester, med rätta. Känns avlägset att bege sig ut i kylan även om havet ligger stilla och solsidan är tio grader ”varmare” än i skuggan. De mörka ytorna hämtar sig snabbast i solen, men min röda näsa återfår inte sin normala färg. Den är mer som båtskroven, frostnupen. Tinar dock snabbt över en kopp kaffe med semla.

Your featured image of frosty fishing hooks: that’s a study in contrast if there ever was one. I’ve been enjoying your ”coldest day” pictures a lot. Looks like our frigid temperatures are soon to revisit…

  The cold returned, albeit only for a few days. I hope it wasn’t a sign that the Gulf Stream had started to slow down. In any case, it’s ”restored” now with plus degrees again. The picture with the hooks turned out well when the sky was in the northeast and the sun in the south, but I had to tweak everything a bit to capture the feeling that my eyes perceived at the time.
